I have been on this cooking kick lately, and I have to say that I love it. The last few weeks I have made a new and different dish everyday. And, when I have felt really bold, I have made some pretty tasty deserts. I have always loved cooking, but I have not ever really ventured from the normal dishes that have graced our table these last couple years. It hit me one day last week, that I want to do something new! It started with a simple apple crisp. Normally I would just use apple pie filling and a prepackaged crumb topping, but I had neither of these, and I was not willing to run to the store. I had a bag of apples that needed to be used, so I peeled and sliced the apples. Following the awesome recipe I found in my Better Crocker cook book, I added the spices to the apples and started to make my very own home made crumb topping. It was simple, and so very delsih! From start to finish it was like 45 min! I felt happy to make Trevor's night with a surprise desert, that I wanted to cook something new the next night, and that is when the avalanche started! So I have been thinking, with all my recent adventures, that I would start a food blog. I have been spending so much time surfing all the existing food blogs and have found so many amazing recipes, that I thought "Hey I could do that." I have been collecting tons and tons of recipes over the last year, and now I will have a place to put them that is easily accessible, and at the same time, help people make simple and east meals too!! So, with my apron on, and my hair tied back, let's get down to work. It will be slow going at first, but I have lots of stuff to add. I am sure that Trevor will be laughing at me all the way as I take pictures of my dishes and my ingredients. I am super excited for this to take off!!
